Perfecting Your Seminar
GUARANTEED SEMINAR ATTENDEES! What if you knew you would always have attendees at your seminar? Would that make you more likely to do more of them? Well, I’ve got some good news for you. I have a seminar method that can absolutely guarantee that you’ll have attendees. Really. No joke. All you need is (1) one good church-attending client, and (2) a high quality presentation.
Think of a client that you enjoy working with. Picture that person in your mind. Now, find a high quality 45 minute seminar program – something that is non-sales, interesting and relevant (this is exactly why we developed the Money On Loan From God DVD series –(http://moneyonloanfromgod.org/). Let’s use session 1 as an example. It’s primarily an interview with Rev. James Ryle, a passionate, challenging, entertaining and articulate speaker. The topic revolves around the meaning of life. You think people might want to hear about that from one of the co-founders of the highly acclaimed Promise Keepers ministry?
Now, back to your client. Pick up the phone and call him or her and ask if there are any small groups at their church that host programs. You can prompt the person with, “You know, like a men’s group, or women’s, or seniors, or singles…” At some point your client will likely say, “Oh ya! The (fill in the blank) group meets on (fill in time/day). They always have some good programs.” You then ask who the contact person is and if it would be OK for you to use your client’s name as a referral and then call the contact and introduce yourself and your program. I’ve done this many times with great success. Why? Because every group that meets is starving for relevant, high quality, objectively presented information!
Now it gets even better. How many friendly church-attending clients do you have? Whatever that number is represents the number of seminar opportunities you have with GUARANTEED SEMINAR ATTENDEES!
But wait… there’s more! What if the pastor or group leader comes back with, “Wow, this really looks good, but unfortunately we have several financial professionals from other companies in the church who might be offended that we didn’t invite them to host a seminar.”
“Oh, no!”, you’re thinking. I’m now dead in the water. Well, you are with a traditional seminar model, but not so with Money On Loan From God. Here’s how you respond.
“Are you familiar with Crown Ministries? You know, the program that is in over 6,000 churches that helps people with their budgeting and cash flow issues? It’s just education. It doesn’t promote any particular product, or investment. It’s just educational material and that’s exactly what Money On Loan From God is. Education. In fact, it picks up right where Crown Ministry materials leave off. I would welcome any other financial professionals to join me.”
There you go. Now, it’s just up to you to take the initiative and make it happen.
